Oak leaves and acorns

Oak leaves and acorns

I worked on this small piece of wall art in the autumn, I had to wait for the acorns and leaves to fall so I had the real thing to inspire me. The leaves lying on the ground were splattered with mud from heavy rain, which added to the texture of the embroidery.

Felt landscape

I have recently been to stay at Higham Hall to attend a felt landscape workshop taught by Debbie Lucas. I had a wonderful time.

IMG_0791I created this felt hanging for my kitchen. My inspiration was a photo of Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales.
